What is included in my investment?
- A 30-90 minute session depending on the type of shoot you select (with the exception of event photography).
- Travel up to 20 minutes from Penfield, NY.
- Full access to an online gallery of all of your edited digital images in both color and black & white (with the exception of mini sessions).
- (Family/Couples/Seniors) will receive a complete style guide and helpful tips for a successful (and fun) time!
How should we dress for our family session?
Take a look over on my Instagram account (@ashleyupdykephoto) for style ideas. Once you book, you will receive an emailed style and helpful tip guide as well.
What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?
The general rule of thumb is within the first 10 days of their birthday, however, sometimes that feels impossible - and that's okay! Reach out if you have questions and we can come up with a timeframe that feels right for your family.
We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?
Not many people do! It's okay! I am a quick shooter - so while I don't pose much, I do prompt and talk (a lot), to keep things fluid and as fun as possible. Through regular conversation, we'll get to know each other or catch up while I'm also shooting candid moments.
When do you have mini sessions?
Mini sessions are often offered seasonally. They are set on a specific dates and are grouped with other sessions. When the dates are released, you'll be able to sign up for your time slot. Are you insured?
I sure am! I have on-site and liability coverage.

Where should we have our session?
Once you schedule your session, you'll receive a style guide, tips for a successful session, and a list of my favorite shooting spots near Rochester. I'm always up for an adventure, am happy to travel, and love new ideas. Please use the contact form and reach out if you have a location in mind or would like to brainstorm with me to find the perfect spot! At this time, I do not shoot from a studio.
